OLD FORGE, N.Y., September 8, 2026 – Enchanted Forest Water Safari invites families to celebrate the fall season in the Adirondacks during Autumn Adventure, returning for six Saturdays from Sept. 19 through Oct. 24, 2026. This family-friendly Halloween event transforms Water Safari into a festive autumn destination filled with rides, seasonal activities, trick-or-treating, fall-themed entertainment and Halloween fun for guests of all ages.
New for 2026, guests can experience the all-new Paul Bunyan’s Log Haul family roller coaster, stroll through Storybook Lane, enjoy expanded dry ride operations, and capture fall photos with the legendary Paul Bunyan. Visitors can also brave the Haunted Train, participate in a costume contest, enjoy family activities and games, and indulge in seasonal eats and treats throughout the park.
The seasonal event gives families another opportunity to experience Water Safari beyond the traditional summer season while enjoying the beauty of Adirondack fall foliage and the excitement of Halloween-themed entertainment.

Continue the Family Fun at Calypso’s Cove
Families visiting Water Safari Resort in September can extend their day at Calypso’s Cove Family Fun Park, located next door to Water Safari. Open Saturdays only throughout September, Calypso’s Cove offers even more ways for families to enjoy a fall getaway in Old Forge.
New this season, guests can take the controls of real excavators, Calypso’s Cove’s newest attraction. Additional attractions include go-karts, kiddie go-karts, miniature golf, a ropes course with zipline, arcade games and family-friendly dining. Attractions at Calypso’s Cove are separate from Autumn Adventure admission.
Make It an Overnight Adirondack Getaway
Families traveling to Old Forge for Autumn Adventure can extend their visit with an overnight stay at Water’s Edge Inn or Old Forge Camping Resort. Both properties offer additional seasonal activities and Halloween-themed fun throughout the weekend.
Admission to Autumn Adventure is included for free for registered guests of Water’s Edge Inn and Old Forge Camping Resort.
Located directly across the street from Water Safari, Water’s Edge Inn offers guest rooms and luxury suites, a heated indoor pool and sauna, complimentary continental breakfast and Wi-Fi. Its location in the heart of Old Forge provides convenient access to Autumn Adventure and other area attractions.
Old Forge Camping Resort, located next door to Water Safari, offers year-round Adirondack camping and seasonal experiences. Accommodations include heated one-room cabins, two-room cottages with kitchenettes and private bathrooms, RV hook-up sites and tent sites.
An overnight stay gives families more time to enjoy Old Forge’s fall season, including local shops and restaurants, hiking, scenic attractions and vibrant Adirondack foliage.
Tickets and Admission
Autumn Adventure tickets are sold by event date and are available online only. Attendance is limited for each event day, and guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are $15.00 plus tax for ages 3 and up. Children ages 2 and younger are admitted free.
Water Safari 2026 Season Pass holders may attend one Autumn Adventure event at no additional charge by presenting a valid season pass at admission.
